This pepper seeds assortment contains eight types of heirloom peppers to add to your garden diversity. Pepper plants grow well in containers and are a beautiful and colourful addition to any garden. Watching the colours of the fruits turn from bright green to a rainbow of colours is a wonderful experience for the enthusiastic gardener.
Peppers are originally from South America, Central America and Mexico. Cultivated for thousands of years by aboriginal nations, the domesticated plants exhibit many variations of shapes and colours from their wild cousins.
Named by Christopher Columbus, who was in search of a replacement for ‘’peppercorn,’’ a wide variety of pepper seeds were brought back to Europe. Their culinary properties were quickly recognized, and their popularity spread to the Middle East and Asia. Peppers today are an important part of many cuisines from around the world. They are an irreplaceable ingredient in so many sweet, salty or spicy dishes.
All the pepper seeds in this package are old-time heirlooms, meaning they have kept their true flavour profile and will produce incredibly tasty vegetables! The seeds have a high germination rate and are all-natural, non-GMO, non-hybrid, untreated, and open-pollinated for seed saving.
